Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club, previously named Legends Club Of Tennessee is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Franklin, Tennessee. The facility has two eighteen hole courses, they are: The North Course and The South Course.
Both Vanderbilt Legends Club courses were also designed and built by Tom Kite and Bob Cupp.
The South Course first opened in 1992. A par 71 measuring 7,100 yards, the South Course takes players through verdant fields winding in the shadow of historic Roper’s Knob hillside, transforming every inch of available land into a distinctive masterpiece. With a mix of wooded and open spaces and even more elevation changes, the South Course offers a unique and challenging golf experience. The Par 4 10th hole consistently ranks as one of the most challenging in Middle Tennessee
Both courses are very similar in design. The fairways are mostly wide open with some mounding and a few sand bunkers. The fast greens are slightly larger than average and there are some that are elevated, tiered and sloped. Creeks and small ponds come into play on the South Course (Previously named The Iron Horse Course). The North Course (Previously name The Roper's Knob Course) has two lakes that come into play. The most difficult hole for both courses is #10 on the North Course, a 465-yard, par 4, with water to the right of the green. The second shot requires a carry over water, and the hole always plays into the wind.
